The Mission
Founded 2023 | Chicago Suburbs, Illinois
Started by game designer and industry creative, David Bock, Binxadinx Games was founded with the goal of changing the way games are made and how a game company could be run.
- Focus on quality rather than quantity of games.
- Less big-budget ads and more word-of-mouth advertising.
- No AI-generated artwork, ever. We support real artists.
- Giving artists creative freedom and space to explore.
- Low stress. No crunch. Realistic timelines.
- Mental and physical health will always come first with our team.
- Publisher-to-customer transparency and support.
- Accessible gameplay and pricing.
- Great gameplay, beautiful artwork, zero “gilding”.
Why Binxadinx? (Pronounced “Binks-uh-dinks”).
When our son was a year or so old we went to the Brookfield Zoo. He saw a dino stuffy, loved it, and we bought it. We asked him to name it and Binxadinx was the name he chose. It was so cute sounding that right then and there we decided if we ever started a game company, that’d be the name. And here we are.
The Officers
David Bock / CEO and Creative Director
David (he/him) is the lead game designer and directs the visual direction for the company. When not running Binxadinx, he provides creative services to the rest of the industry at The Game Bocks as well as working for PickPocket Games. In his free moments, he can be found reading manga, watching k-dramas, or playing video games. He hosts a weekly game night in and loves playing D&D. He lives in the Chicago suburbs.
Cathy Bock / COO and Game Developer
Cathy (she/her) ensures our game concepts are clear and that we keep our progress on the right tracks. Mostly, she works full-time as Story Editor for Incredible Dream. She loves to go backpacking when she isn’t playing video games, buried in a book, or writing a story. She meets with friends weekly for board games and lives in the Chicago suburbs.
The Crew
Cam Kendell / Illustrator
Cam (he/him) was the first person we ever hired and provided the illustrations for Rocket Ranchers Herding Cats in Space. When not drawing space cats or rocket ships, Cam enjoys birding, rocking on the accordion, losing at board games, and hiking in the beautiful Utah mountains with his wife and four children, hoping to see a black bear... from a safe distance.
Lianne Pflug / Illustrator
Lianne (she/her) is the illustrator for Silk & Venom. She is a freelance illustrator currently living in Baltimore, MD. As a hobbyist gardener and lover of the outdoors, Lianne seeks to create work that captures the beauty and wonder of the natural world through her artwork. When she's not drawing, you can find her romping around outside in search of cool plants, playing video games on the couch, or looking at pictures of weird bugs on the internet.
Sierra Bosse / Illustrator
Sierra (she/her) is one of our illustrators for Start Your Rockets (2025). She is currently attending Ringling College of Art and Design, pursuing a Bachelor's in Fine Arts and a focus in Illustration. Her current work involves explorations in children's literature, book/magazine cover design, and board game illustration. In her downtime, she enjoys crafting, reading, watching animated shows, and playing video games. She is originally from Kentucky and lives in Sarasota, Florida.
Andrew Gerlicher / Music and Tabletopia
Andrew (he/him) writes the music for our Kickstarters and also helps us set up prototypes for playtesting on Tabletopia. He is a composer, music educator, and board game addict living near Los Angeles. In recent years, Andrew's music has appeared in short films, feature films, video games, stage dramas, national advertisements, and television shows. He also works alongside other professional composers in a co-composer and production assistant capacity as time allows.
Mike Young / Advisor
Mike (he/him) consults with us on the production of our games and brand vision. He provides an incredible wealth of experience to our team. Mike has years of experience in the board game industry, having worked with a variety of incredible companies and overseen a number of successful projects. Mike currently works in marketing for 25th Century Games.
The Shipyard
Impressions Distribution
English Language Sales and Distribution | Worldwide. We partnered with Impressions before our Kickstarter began. We're just getting started as a business and while we have a lot of experience making games, getting them out there for sale is somewhere we're lacking. We felt it best to use a consignment company like Impressions to get folks looking at our games and to take care of all our overseas work. Plus, they're part of Flat River Group which are some of the best in the industry when it comes to delivery.
Global Publishing Network / Lucky Duck
Worldwide Localization and Distribution. We partnered with this amazing company to help find us publishing partners around the world. Would it have been possible to do all this ourselves? Absolutely. But LUCKY DUCK is known throughout the world and has amazing connections and an incredible reputation for success. So, rather than make a few more bucks and a lot more stress, we left it in their hands.
Longpack games & Toys
Board Game Manufacturing and Production. We spoke to over a dozen different manufacturers before we decided to go with Long Pack. They provided the best balance of quality, communication, and price. There are other companies we might work with in the future on different projects -- but for now, these are our main printers!
Last notes
We want to be a safe space for all gamers.
Gamers of all ages, ethnicities, orientations, and genders are welcome at our game tables. We have a zero-tolerance policy toward bigotry, sexism, and racism within our forums, game demos, and employees. If you ever have any issues or concerns, reach out so we can help.
Fan-Made Products.
We love going to Artist’s Alley whenever we visit conventions and we love supporting independent artists who love our stuff. Contact us to learn about our fan-made licensing options (which are extremely affordable) to make your art legit (and so our lawyers don’t call you). Once approved, so long as you’re an independent artist and everything you sell is 100% original art created by you (no AI and no use of our original art) — you can make the following items for sale at your next booth:
- Plush toys
- Keychains
- Enamel Pins
- Apparel
- Posters
